Going Places can arrange a day trip for you from any North or South Coast Hotel to the Wasini Island – a fabulous retreat. The Wasini Island is located within the Kisite Mpunguti Marine Reserve. A typical day trip would start with departure from your hotel / house or resort fairly early.

You would then be transferred to the Island by Dhow and would have most of the morning to snorkel, dive or simply relax. An exquisite seafood lunch on the Island (other menus and cuisine available) would follow. On most occasions, dolphins swim alongside your dhow and in addition to this, the Island itself is well worth exploring. You would be transferred back to your hotel by mid – late afternoon. The Shimba Hills run parallel to the South Coast of Mombasa.

From Mombasa, the journey takes less than an hour to the Shimba Hills National Reserve. Wildlife which can be spotted in the Shimba Hills include: elephant, buffalo, giraffe, plains animals and the famous sable antelope.
