The Amboseli means a place of water in the language of the local people-the Masai. However, on the contrary Amboseli is a dry and dusty place but has numerous source of water from mount Kilimanajaro, which is within the Amboseli National park.
Mt Kilimanajaro is the highest mountain in Africa and you will get good scenery of it while at the Amboseli National Park. The Amboseli National park is located in the Kenyan Rift Valley on the Tanzanian border northwest of Kilimanjaro.
If you are planning for a camping holiday the Amboseli National Park offers the best camping tour. There are also lodging facilities like the Amboseli Serena and the Safari lodge that Amboseli National Park has.
Day 1
In the morning, depart Nairobi driving past the scenic Athi Plains and into
the bushy country of Amboseli National Park - a landscape dominated by the
spectacular snowcaps of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrival will be in time for lunch
at your chosen lodge / tented camp. After lunch and a few hours of rest,
embark on a game drive at the foot of Africa's highest mountain. Dinner and
overnight will be at the lodge / camp
Day 2
Today you will spend the full day in Amboseli with early morning and evening
game drives. Whilst in the park, you will have the opportunity to photograph
the animals against the wonderful backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. All meals
and overnight will be at your lodge / tented camp.
Day 3
After a leisurely breakfast, return home.
